INTERNATIONAL
To work within the Montreal Protocol process as the United Nations Environment Programme
assesses and possibly changes the Protocol.
To encourage the use of HCFCs and HFCs where they are feasible and effective alternatives to
ozone depleting CFCs.
The Alliance will monitor and participate in international efforts concerning technology transfer
and any trade implications that arise from the Protocol's implementation. The Alliance will
continue to work within the international process to establish policy to curtail illegal export and
import of CFCs. The Alliance will monitor and participate in international meetings which
address global climate change and the implication of HCFCs, or HFCs as greenhouse gases.

HCFC usage.

The most recent conference attracted over 800 participants from 30 countries. The Alliance
also sponsors regional conferences addressing ozone protection and global climate change.
